Under the scope of this project, the IPC-IG provided technical assistance through the development of a training course and in-country specialised consultancy, aiming at strengthening national capacities for the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of the social protection sector in Angola.

Project Results

Two main outputs:

1. Provision of training for technicians of the Government of Angola in the M&E of social protection policies, adapted to the needs of the APROSOC project, in particular the decentralisation of the social services component (Municipalização da Acção Social—MAS); and

2. Provision of in-country specialised consultancy to support the establishment of the MAS Baseline (defined as: non-randomised, socio-economic and territorial diagnosis of the main aspects related to MAS, based on indicators of input, process and results of preselected interest, focused on initiatives, services, and target groups of policies related to the programme) and M&E tools and methodology aligned with MAS.
