Description

This project aimed to establish a comprehensive country-based social protection knowledge foundation, which enables the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) to provide qualified policy advice and technical support to the ESCWA Member States with their social protection reform objectives. More specifically, the template produced, and the process undertaken is meant to enable and facilitate cross-country knowledge exchange for the Group of Experts on Social Protection Reforms (GESPR, who will serve as the country focal points for the ESCWA process) but also for their peer-to-peer learning on relevant policy/design, delivery mechanism, social protection financing and organizational set-up issues. To this end, IPC-IG collaborated with ESCWA to develop a highly user-friendly, self-explanatory template providing ESCWA Member States’ government entities hands-on guidance to produce comprehensive social protection systems and reforms country profiles´ reports.
